Giorgio Armani is dead at 91

Italian fashion legend Giorgio Armani has passed away at the age of 91, confirmed by the Armani Group on Thursday. He was celebrated for defining modern Italian elegance and building a global design empire generating billions in revenue each year. Recently grappling with illness, Armani notably skipped Milan’s Men's Fashion Week in June for the first time in his career. Affectionately dubbed “Re Giorgio” (“King Giorgio”), he was known for overseeing every facet of his brand—from creative design to runway hair styling. A public funeral chamber will be held in Milan over the weekend, with a private ceremony to follow.
