If you’re just passing through on a cruise, a half day covers the basics—old town and a quick fortress hike. But staying two to three days lets you explore nearby towns, beaches, and mountain drives. A longer stay means lazy mornings, boat trips, and less rushed exploring. It’s also a great base for day trips to Lovćen National Park, Perast, and Budva. If you’ve got the time, slowing down makes Kotor even more magical.
