Trump Assures Poland of U.S. Troop Presence as Tensions Rise

President Trump hosted Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the White House and reiterated a strong U.S. military commitment to Poland, even alluding to a possible increase in troop deployments. His reassurances aim to bolster Poland’s sense of security amid growing regional threats from Russia. Trump also criticized the ongoing casualties in Ukraine and urged an immediate end to the conflict. He issued a warning to President Putin, stating “you’ll see things happen” if Moscow derails the peace process. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy arrived in Paris for talks with European leaders gearing up to offer security guarantees, while Putin, from Beijing, extended an invitation to Kyiv that Ukraine promptly rebuffed.
