Wall Street Rebounds as S&P 500 and Nasdaq Gain Ground

U.S. stock markets bounced back Wednesday, with the S&P 500 climbing 0.5%—breaking a two-day losing streak—and the Nasdaq up 1%, thanks in part to strong gains from Alphabet. The Dow slipped slightly, down 0.1%, maintaining its recent pattern of divergent performance. A softer-than-expected job report eased Treasury yields, helping stabilize investor sentiment and encourage renewed risk-taking. Alphabet’s surge helped offset broader volatility tied to market uncertainty over monetary policy and geopolitics. For the week so far, the S&P 500 remains slightly negative, while the Nasdaq holds modest gains.
