UN Reveals 21,000 Children Disabled in Gaza Since Conflict Began

The United Nations reports that more than 21,000 children in Gaza have been disabled due to war-related injuries, underscoring the devastating human toll of the two-year conflict. With over 40,000 new injuries recorded—and more than half resulting in lifelong disabilities—the scale of suffering among Gaza’s youngest is staggering. Gaza City’s infrastructure, including schools and hospitals used as shelters, continues to crumble under relentless bombardment, while malnutrition and displacement surge. The conflict has triggered protests in Israel demanding a cease-fire and hostage talks. Global condemnation is mounting, with the UN warning that Gaza is becoming the “graveyard of international humanitarian law.” The situation highlights a deepening crisis beyond immediate military operations.
