Poland and NATO Respond After Russian Drones Violate Polish Airspace

Poland says its airspace was breached overnight by drone-type objects tied to the conflict in Ukraine. NATO is backing Poland, launching investigations and steps under its treaty obligations to respond to cross-border violations. Polish officials are calling it “unprecedented aggression,” highlighting rising worries that civilian infrastructure could be drawn into the fallout. There are growing calls among NATO members to tighten air defenses and collaborate more on shared radar coverage. For many in the alliance, this is a test of collective readiness and deterrence in Eastern Europe.
