On September 23, 2025, Kolkata, India, was struck by an intense cloudburst that led to severe flash floods across the city. The downpour resulted in 11 deaths and left over 30 people injured, with at least two individuals reported missing. Several areas, including Garia Kamdahari and Jodhpur Park, recorded over 280 mm of rainfall in just a few hours.
