At its deepest point, Iliamna Lake plunges to about 988 feet (301 meters). That’s nearly 200 feet deeper than Lake Michigan! The lake has an average depth of 144 feet, making it both deep and clear. This depth helps support its rich fish populations and keeps the water oxygenated. If you're into diving or just curious about underwater landscapes, this lake's depths are pretty impressive.
