NASA Launches Trio of Missions to Monitor Space Weather

On September 24, 2025, NASA successfully launched three missions aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center. The missions include the Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP), the Carruthers Geocorona Observatory (CGO), and NOAA’s Space Weather Follow-On Lagrange 1 (SWFO-L1). IMAP and CGO aim to study solar activity and interstellar particles, while SWFO-L1 will provide real-time monitoring of solar storms. These missions are designed to protect astronauts and safeguard Earth's satellites, power systems, and communication infrastructure. The launch underscores NASA's commitment to planetary safety and scientific advancement.
