Opened in 1922, the Rose Bowl Stadium is recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
It has hosted five Super Bowls, more than any other stadium in California.
The stadium was the site of the 1994 FIFA World Cup Final, where Brazil defeated Italy in a penalty shootout.
It's the home of the UCLA Bruins football team, who have played there since 1982.
The Rose Bowl Flea Market, held monthly, is one of the largest and most famous flea markets in the world.
In 1984, it hosted the Olympic soccer final, adding to its international sports legacy.
The stadium's design was inspired by the Yale Bowl and has been expanded several times to increase capacity.
