Gonzaga is on the smaller side for a private university, which makes campus life feel tight and personal rather than anonymous. Student life is active: there are clubs, service groups, faith-based organizations, and lots of events hosted by student gov and campus ministries. Greek life exists but isn’t overwhelming, so you’ll find people socializing in many different circles. Sports, especially basketball, are a huge part of the social scene and bring the campus together on game nights. Off campus, downtown Spokane offers food, concerts, and coffee spots that students frequent. Weekends often mix study sessions with outdoor trips or local gigs depending on the crowd. People here say you’ll meet friends quickly because the community is compact and welcoming.
