San Salvador is the capital, full of energy, art, and views from surrounding volcanoes. Santa Ana has colorful architecture, coffee farms, and a charming central plaza. Suchitoto is known for its colonial streets, artsy vibe, and scenic lake. La Libertad draws surfers to its world-class waves and seafood shacks. San Miguel offers nightlife, markets, and access to Chaparrastique Volcano. Juayúa, part of the “Ruta de las Flores,” is great for food festivals and mountain air. Ahuachapán completes that route with hot springs and murals.
