Sana’a, the capital, is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, famous for its stunning mud-brick towers. Aden, a coastal city, offers historical charm and Red Sea views. Taiz is known for its cultural heritage, old mosques, and mountain scenery. Al Mukalla provides access to beaches and a relaxed port-town atmosphere. Shibam, often called the “Manhattan of the Desert,” impresses with its tall ancient buildings made of mud. Each city reflects Yemen’s deep history and unique Arabian architecture. While travel can be challenging, Yemen’s cities hold incredible beauty and cultural depth.
