Director Rob Reiner and his wife are found dead

American director Rob Reiner and his wife, producer Michelle Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home, the Associated Press reports, citing a police spokesperson. Preliminary reports indicate stab wounds to the Reiners' bodies.
"It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic deaths of Michelle and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss and ask for privacy during this incredibly difficult time," a Reiner family spokesperson said in a statement.
Rob Reiner was 78 years old, and Michelle Reiner was 68.
The Los Angeles Police Department said it is not currently seeking any suspects in connection with the Reiners' deaths, noting that the investigation is in the early stages.
