What is the Sydney Opera House best known for?

The Sydney Opera House is best known for its iconic sail-like design and its location right on Sydney Harbour. It’s one of the most recognizable buildings in the world and a major symbol of Australia. The building is famous for its white shell roofs that look different depending on the light and weather. Inside, it’s a huge performing arts center with multiple venues. People visit not only for shows but also just to see and photograph the building. It was designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon and took many years to complete. Today, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must-see attraction.
