Beauvais Airport, officially called Beauvais-Tillé Airport and sometimes branded as Paris-Beauvais, is an international airport in Tillé, near the town of Beauvais in northern France. Despite the “Paris” name, it’s quite a distance — about 77 km (around 48 miles) north-northwest of central Paris, which is usually about a 1.5-hour road trip. The airport mainly serves low-cost airlines and is a common choice for budget travelers headed to Paris or other European cities. It’s small compared to Paris’s main airports like Charles de Gaulle or Orly, with only two terminals yet many flight options. Because it’s farther out, people often plan extra time for travel to or from the city. The shuttle bus from Paris-Porte Maillot is one popular way to reach the airport without a car. Car and taxi options are also available if you prefer more direct transport.
