Harry Reid International Airport is the main airport serving Las Vegas, Nevada, and it used to be called McCarran International Airport for decades. It’s located just about 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas and really close to the Strip, which makes arrivals super fast. The airport code is still LAS, so at least that didn’t change. It has two main passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, handling both domestic and international flights. Terminal 1 is mostly for domestic airlines, while Terminal 3 handles international flights and some domestic ones. The terminals are not connected past security, so transfers usually involve a shuttle. Even though the name changed, most locals and travelers still casually call it McCarran.
