Dubai International Airport has three main passenger terminals — Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 — and each one serves different airlines and types of flights. Terminal 3 is the biggest and most famous because it’s dedicated mainly to Emirates and some partner airlines, with huge check-in halls and loads of shops and lounges. Terminal 1 handles many international carriers, so you’ll likely use it if you’re flying with a non-Emirates airline. Terminal 2 is smaller and generally used for regional or low-cost carriers, but it’s still part of the same DXB complex. There are easy ways to move between terminals if you’re transferring flights, and signs are in English and Arabic so most folks can find their way. Inside, each terminal has plenty of food, relaxation spots and basic services to keep you comfortable before boarding. Knowing which terminal your flight uses can save you time and stress on travel day.
