Security at Comerica Park is taken seriously and you’ll go through checks before entry for everyone’s safety. Small single‑compartment bags, wallets, and clutches under about 4″ x 6″ x 1½″ are allowed, but larger bags and backpacks aren’t allowed inside unless they’re diaper or medical bags under certain size limits. Security staff will also check your permitted items and you’ll need to go through a metal detector at the gate. Outside food and drink aren’t generally allowed, except for sealed water bottles and small snacks in some cases, so most fans plan to buy inside once they’re in.
