Can kids have a Space Camp experience at the Space & Rocket Center?

Yes — one of the coolest things about the Space & Rocket Center is that it’s home to Space Camp, which is an immersive, hands-on camp for kids and teens. Space Camp lets trainees learn as if they were real astronauts, doing team challenges, leadership tasks, and simulator missions. There are different programs depending on the kid’s age and interests, from short family camps to weeklong mission-style training. If you’re flying in for camp, you can even arrange airport pickup for an extra fee so your child doesn’t have to figure out transport on their own. Campers eat meals with their group and take part in activities that mix science, fun, and teamwork. It’s one of the reasons people from all 50 states and other countries choose to visit Huntsville. Be sure to check registration deadlines and details because spots fill up fast.
