Like most major stadiums, NRG has a security policy that limits what you can bring inside on event day. They generally enforce a clear bag policy, which means one clear plastic bag no bigger than about 12″ × 6″ × 12″ or a small clutch purse. You can also bring one sealed water bottle up to 20 oz so you stay hydrated. Backpacks, large purses, and non-clear bags aren’t usually allowed, so pack smart to speed up security lines. Expect to go through bag checks and metal detectors at every main entrance. Smoking isn’t permitted inside the stadium, though there may be designated areas outside. Be sure to check the specific event rules before you go because some shows or leagues have extra restrictions.
