Is Huntington Bank Field going to be replaced or renovated?

The Browns and the city have been planning a brand-new Huntington Bank Field stadium in Brook Park, a suburb of Cleveland, with construction expected to start soon and finish by around 2029. This new venue will be an enclosed, state-of-the-art facility designed to host Browns games and huge events year-round, which is a big shift from the open-air setup downtown. The move comes after the team’s lease at the current shoreline stadium runs out at the end of the 2028 season. There have been agreements and legal steps with city leaders to smooth the transition and prepare the current site for future redevelopment once the stadium moves. As part of those deals, the old stadium will eventually be demolished after the move, and materials or memorabilia might even be recycled or saved by fans. So while the current Huntington Bank Field has been a Cleveland staple for decades, a new chapter is on the horizon with a modern covered version of the stadium.
