U.S. Bank Stadium is the big indoor sports and entertainment venue in Minneapolis that’s home to the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. It opened in 2016 and quickly became known for its striking modern design, light-filled interior, and sharp angles that make it stand out from other stadiums. Fans go there for Vikings games, major college football matchups, big concerts, and large live events throughout the year. Because it’s enclosed, the weather doesn’t affect events much, which is perfect for cold Minnesota winters. On game days the crowd energy gets crazy loud, especially when Vikings fans pack the place with their purple gear. The stadium is also right in downtown Minneapolis, so there are tons of restaurants, bars, and hotels nearby to extend your visit. Most visitors say the combo of atmosphere, accessibility, and design makes it worth the trip even if you’re not a die-hard football fan.
