What’s the parking and transportation situation like around the Caesars Superdome?

Parking around the Caesars Superdome takes a bit of planning because it’s right near downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter, so spaces fill up fast on Saints game days and big events. There are on-site lots and garages that require paid passes, and many fans buy those ahead of time so they know they have a guaranteed space. If you don’t have a pre-purchased spot, there are other parking garages and lots within walking distance, but prices can jump big on event days. Lots of fans choose rideshare, taxi, or public transit instead because traffic around city streets can get really backed up before kickoff or showtime. Streetcars and buses run in the area, and sometimes special event shuttles help move crowds without everyone driving. Walking from a downtown hotel is another popular way to arrive stress-free. Just give yourself extra time because roads and crosswalks get packed when tens of thousands of fans converge.
