Getting to San Siro from downtown Milan is pretty straightforward and usually quick by public transit. A super easy way is to take the metro on Line M5 to the San Siro Stadio stop or use Line M1 to Piazzale Lotto and walk the rest of the way toward the stadium’s entrance. There are also buses like the 49, 78, 64, 80, or 98 that stop close to the venue, plus tram line 16 if that’s more convenient. On matchdays you’ll often see special shuttle buses from other transit hubs because so many fans head that way at once, which helps move crowds faster. If you’re coming from a hotel or train station, check your route before you go because a few different options can work. Walking from nearer neighborhoods is possible but can take a bit longer, especially if you’re in matchday traffic. Whatever way you choose, plan to arrive at least an hour and a half before kick‑off so you’re not rushed through the crowds.
