Audi Field is a modern soccer stadium located in the Buzzard Point area of Washington, DC. It officially opened in 2018 as the new home for D.C. United, one of Major League Soccer’s original teams. The stadium was built to replace RFK Stadium and give the club a more soccer-focused venue. It’s designed with fans close to the pitch, so the atmosphere feels loud and intense during games. Audi Field is also used for other sports like women’s soccer and football, plus concerts and events. The venue cost hundreds of millions to build and is owned by the District of Columbia. Today, it’s considered one of the top soccer stadiums in the U.S.
