When did Saputo Stadium open?

Saputo Stadium officially opened in 2008 as a purpose-built soccer venue. It was constructed to give Montreal its own dedicated stadium for the local team. Before that, games were often played in larger multi-purpose venues. The stadium was later expanded around 2011–2012 to increase capacity and improve facilities. These upgrades helped prepare it for Major League Soccer matches. Since then, it has become a key sports venue in Montreal. Today, it’s known as one of the main soccer stadiums in Canada.
