How early should I arrive at LAX before my flight?

Most airlines recommend arriving at least two hours before a domestic flight and three hours before an international one. LAX is large and busy, so giving yourself extra time is always a good idea. Traffic getting into the airport can be unpredictable, especially during rush hours. Once inside, you may need time for check-in, bag drop, and security screening. During holidays or peak travel times, lines can get longer than usual. Many experienced travellers actually arrive even earlier just to avoid stress. Having extra time also lets you relax, grab food, or find your gate without rushing.
