What is dogecoin and why is it so popular?

Posted on Oct 21, 2024 / Finance

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency that was intended for pure fun of it all. Even the logo of Dogecoin is taken from that famous shiba inu smiling dog.

Dogecoin is meant to be a funky alternative to the major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. You should not take the Dogecoin too seriously, but it doesn't mean that you cannot make a lot of money by just holding some dogecoins in your electronic wallet. The USD price of Dogecoin was pumped many times by the users of Reddit and the hype was warmed up in twitter by Elon Musk. If you really want to make some fun out of the cryptocurrency buzz you should definitely buy and hold some 10,000 dogecoins in a wallet.
