What material is Christ the Redeemer made of?

Christ the Redeemer is made of reinforced concrete and covered with a mosaic of thousands of triangular soapstone tiles. Soapstone was chosen for its durability and resistance to extreme weather conditions. The outer layer also provides a smooth, elegant appearance that reflects sunlight beautifully.
