Who designed the Tower of Pisa?

The original architect of the Tower of Pisa is believed to be Bonanno Pisano, although there is some debate among historians. Later stages of construction were overseen by other architects, including Giovanni di Simone and Tommaso di Andrea Pisano. The tower’s construction involved multiple changes in plans and methods as builders tried to manage the increasing tilt.
