Who designed One World Trade Center?

The building was designed by architect David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), a renowned architecture firm. The design emphasizes strength, safety, and symbolism, featuring a robust concrete core and reinforced structure. Its base is square, gradually transforming into eight isosceles triangles, forming an elegant glassy spire. The tower was developed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in partnership with private developers.
