The Jurassic Coast stretches 95 miles along southern England and is famous for its fossil-rich cliffs. It spans 185 million years of geological history. Fossils of ancient creatures, including ichthyosaurs and ammonites, are regularly found here. The cliffs include striking rock formations like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. It's England’s first natural World Heritage Site, designated in 2001. The coast is named after the Jurassic period, but it also includes rocks from the Triassic and Cretaceous. It’s a paradise for geologists and nature lovers alike.
