- Over 350 Japanese aircraft took part in the attack, which lasted about two hours.
- Today, over a million visitors come to Pearl Harbor each year to learn about its history.
- The Battleship Missouri, now a museum, was where Japan formally surrendered in 1945.
- Pearl Harbor is home to the largest U.S. naval base in the Pacific region.
- December 7th is observed annually in the U.S. as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
