What architectural style is the Brandenburg Gate?

The Brandenburg Gate is designed in the neoclassical style, inspired by ancient Greek architecture. It features twelve Doric columns, six on each side, forming five passageways. The central passage was traditionally reserved for royalty. Atop the gate sits the Quadriga, a chariot driven by the goddess of victory, sculpted by Johann Gottfried Schadow. Its symmetrical design and classical elements make it an enduring architectural masterpiece. The gate combines grandeur with elegance, reflecting Prussian ideals of the 18th century.
