What is the Isle of Man?

The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown dependency located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. It is not part of the United Kingdom but has a special relationship with it, with the UK responsible for defense and international representation. The island has its own parliament, the Tynwald, which is one of the oldest continuous parliamentary bodies in the world. The Isle of Man is known for its rugged coastline, scenic landscapes, and unique Celtic and Viking heritage. It is also famous for its wildlife and outdoor recreational activities. The island uses the Manx pound, which is pegged to the British pound sterling.
