The Bermuda Triangle is associated with the disappearance of ships, airplanes, and smaller vessels. Famous cases include Flight 19, a squadron of five U.S. Navy bombers lost in 1945, and the USS Cyclops, which vanished in 1918 with over 300 crew members. Other reported incidents involve yachts, cargo ships, and private planes. In many cases, no wreckage was found, fueling speculation. Investigators have suggested weather, navigation errors, and equipment failure as likely causes. Despite myths, disappearances are relatively rare compared to overall traffic in the area.
