In the past, the NYSE allowed public tours of its famous trading floor, but heightened security after the September 11 attacks ended these programs. Today, only credentialed individuals such as company executives, traders, and invited guests may access the floor. However, visitors can still admire the historic building from outside and explore the Financial District. Wall Street tours offered by private companies provide insights into the NYSE’s history and operations. The opening and closing bell ceremonies are often broadcast live, giving the public a glimpse into the exchange’s traditions. The building itself remains an architectural landmark of New York City.
