The currency used in Abu Dhabi is the UAE dirham (AED), which is divided into 100 fils. It is pegged to the U.S. dollar at a fixed exchange rate, providing economic stability. ATMs and currency exchange centers are widely available across the city. Credit and debit cards are commonly accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shops. The strong dirham has supported Abu Dhabi’s development as a financial center in the Middle East.
