Do locals ever go to Times Square, or is it just tourists?

Most New Yorkers avoid Times Square unless they’re working nearby or seeing a Broadway show. For locals, it’s kind of a chaotic, tourist-packed zone. But at the same time, it’s still part of the city’s identity and everyone ends up there once in a while. Some locals like going to nearby theaters, bars, or restaurants that are just outside the main crush of people. So while it’s mostly tourists, you’ll definitely spot New Yorkers passing through.
