It can be pricey, especially when it comes to restaurants and attractions right in the square. Tourist traps and chain spots usually charge more, but you can find cheaper eats a couple blocks away. Broadway tickets are a big expense, though the TKTS booth sometimes has same-day discounts. Shopping in Times Square usually means paying premium prices at big-brand stores. That said, just wandering around and taking in the sights is free, and honestly, that’s the best part for a lot of people.
