European Leaders Ramp Up Support After Deadly Russian Missile Strikes

After Russian missile attacks on Kyiv killed dozens and set off international outrage, European leaders are rushing to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. France’s Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Friedrich Merz pledged more systems while pushing for stronger sanctions on Russia. Many EU nations condemned the Kremlin’s violation of international law and called for a strong diplomatic response. Ukraine’s Zelenskyy demanded meaningful peace talks with a hard deadline, warning of major troop buildups if talks don’t happen. The EU has summoned Russian diplomats and tightened political pressure. Diplomats are pushing for coordinated military and humanitarian action.
