Ukraine Backers to Meet on Post-War Security Guarantees

About 30 countries, led by France and Britain, are organizing a meeting next week to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine after a potential peace deal. This so-called “coalition of the willing” will outline military support including training, equipment, and possibly reassurance forces stationed nearby. Recent talks involving the U.S. have given the effort new momentum, with officials now being more receptive to a role in air support. Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy is expected to join the meeting either in person or virtually. European leaders are hoping the plan will deter future aggression and strengthen regional stability. Diplomats stress that clear post-war structures are essential for lasting peace.
