There’s a public bus network that’s super cheap but can be slow and crowded; it’s great if you want a very local experience and don’t mind extra travel time. Taxis and private transfers are easy to arrange from hotels and the airport, and many day-trip tours bundle transport, a guide, and activities. If you plan to drive, remember Mauritius drives on the left and GPS plus a local SIM for maps makes navigation painless. For island-hopping or reef trips, boat operators in north and west coasts run regular tours.
