How often does Old Faithful erupt?

Old Faithful usually erupts about every 60 to 110 minutes, which is why it got the nickname “faithful.” The park rangers can predict the next eruption pretty accurately within about a 10-minute window. Each eruption lasts from a minute to five minutes, shooting thousands of gallons of hot water into the air. People often hang out on the benches waiting for the show, which adds to the atmosphere. It’s one of those natural events that never gets old, no matter how many times you see it.
