The Great Mosque of Djenné is one of the most famous landmarks, built entirely from mud bricks. Timbuktu, once legendary for trade and scholarship, still draws interest for its old manuscripts and mosques. Mopti, known as the "Venice of Mali," sits on the river and is a colorful hub for fishing and markets. The Dogon Country is another must-see, with its dramatic cliffs and unique villages. Even with challenges, Mali has incredible cultural and historical treasures.
