The dry season (roughly November to February) is usually the most comfortable for visitors: less dust, cooler nights, and clearer skies for festivals and wildlife viewing. The rainy season (around June to September) brings lush green landscapes but also heavy rains that can affect roads and travel plans. Shoulder months can be a good compromise if you want fewer crowds and reasonable weather. Check festival calendars too—events like film and music festivals can make timing your trip extra rewarding. Packing light layers is smart since days are warm and nights can get cooler in the dry season.
