What’s the culture like—any special traditions in Eritrea?

Very warm and ceremonial—especially their coffee traditions. They roast beans right in front of you, pour the brew multiple times, and it’s all about the smell and ritual. Sharing a cup is a bonding moment and usually involves lots of respect and hospitality. Food’s communal too—you'll likely dig into stews on injera bread with your hands. Being polite, especially when it comes to food and greeting customs, takes you a long way
