In touristy spots like Kotor, Budva, and Podgorica, you’ll find plenty of folks who speak at least some English. Younger people and anyone working in hotels, restaurants, or tours usually know enough to get by. In smaller towns or rural areas, you’ll hear more Montenegrin or Serbian. It helps if you learn a few local phrases just to be polite. But overall, most visitors don’t struggle too much with the language barrier.
