Montenegro actually uses the euro, even though it’s not part of the EU yet. That makes it super convenient if you’re already traveling around Europe. You won’t have to deal with currency exchanges at every border. ATMs are easy to find in cities and tourist towns, so you don’t need to carry tons of cash. Cards are accepted in many places, but having some euros in your pocket is always smart.
